Good food and wine show

The Cape Town Good Food and Wine Show is currently on at the CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) and open until tomorrow. If you like Cape Town Food and Wine, be sure not to miss it! The weather will be bad anyway, so you might as well spend it at the ‘Stellenbosch Winelands under a roof’. Many International celebrity chefs will be taking part, giving cook-offs, cooking lessons as well as a variety of stalls with wine and other delectable delicatessens.

Cape Times Waterfront Wine Festival

The V&A Waterfront is hosting its annual wine festival soon, boasting 300 wines to taste and also a selection of boutique cheeses and deli(cious) products presented as food pairings.

Dates: 9-12 May 2006
Tickets: R65 (at computicket and various wine shops)
Venue: Market Square, V & A Waterfront

Tickets include wine, cheese and deli tastings, festival glass and programme of all the wines and food on show.

Buy your tickets early to avoid dissappointment as happened with many people trying to buy tickets on the day at the Bienne Donne Cheese and Wine Festival recently. I must say though, allthough we almost got blown off the face of the earth by a black South Easter, they had a great selection of wines and cheeses at that festival. A successful event in my blog (book)!
