Airshow news

Some dramatic events took place today as one of the show aircraft crashed into the sea in Milnerton. A Dolphin plane and it’s pilot perished. Not much detail is available at this stage, but the show will go on for now. The pilot’s name will be released when his next of kin have been notified. The planes we’ve seen so far are spectacular to say the least. It’s amazing to see them zipping by with full afterburners blazing! Make sure you get to Ysterplaat Air Force base this weekend, but go early to avoid disappointment!

Hermanus Whale Festival

Thousands of people are flocking towards Hermanus for the annual Whale Festival. It’s bound to burst out of its seams this year. For a nice day trip out of Cape Town, try and get there within the next week. The whales are out for the show!

Rocking the Daisy’s Music Festival

Darling is known as the flower of the West Coast, and the abundance of flora and natural flowers is undoubtedly its biggest asset. Situated 75km north of Cape Town, this small town plays host to the Darling Wildflower show. During the spring months, between August and October, this region explodes with Wild Flowers. This phenomenon is known world wide and attracts tourists in huge numbers.

This is where we will be staging Rocking the Daisies. There are no other music festivals around this part of the country and what an amazing place and time to hold one. We are inviting 21 of South Africa’s hottest bands to play at this festival where music appreciation is the core. The line-up is cross-culture and incorporates a mixture of styles and backgrounds. We will be holding the festival over a full weekend on a farm in Darling with views over the ocean all the way to Table Mountain and will provide a safe and fully functional camping area, with food stalls, ablutions etc.
