The Cape Town FNB Big Walk is back and it’s sure to increase on last year’s 20,000 something walkers. It’s all for a good cause since it’s for charity, community upliftment and for athletics development in South Africa.

Ranging between 5km and 80km walks on the day you can find something that suits your pace and style. There are even walks for the young ones. This is a family day to be enjoyed by thousands.

2006 Robertson Wine on the River - 20-22 October 2006

The annual Robertson Wine Festival is around the corner, now called Robertson Wine on the River. Happening at two riverside venues, Spes Bona and Goudmyn. With live music and some of the best wines the valley has to offer, it’s a great breakaway just 1.5 hours away from Cape Town through scenic mountain passes. Activities include wine tastings (at various farms and the venues above) as well as kids entertainment, boat and tractor shuttles, couture stalls and more. More information at www.wineonriver.com.
