Cape Town South Africa

For the sweet tooths out there, Cape Town offers some of the best South African delights. The gourmet shops throughout the city bring an abundance of flavours together with strong international, yet uniquely South African taste. Shops like Melissa’s come to mind, but one of our favorites is Torina (not totally sure about the spelling), the chocolate shoppe on Kloof Neck Street. It’s old fashioned cabinets and chocolate displays just fits perfectly with the theme and their prices are not exhorbitant. Melissa’s on the other hand have a wide variety of gourmet products which are now also available in many major food chains in South Africa. Try their nougat, which is out of this world!! They have a shop in Kloof Street (not to be mistaken with Kloof Neck Street).

Other South African delights can be found in Franschhoek, in the heart of the Cape winelands, where you will find a chocolate factory, also with tours on how the chocolate is made. We will add contact details as soon as they are available, so check back soon!
